Culture Mining: an abusive relationship between a computer system and a cyanobacteria colony’ consists of a cyanobacteria culture and a computer system, which monitors and manipulates the culture’s conditions of growth.

The computer gathers data from multiple sensors, and modifies the temperature, motility and light conditions of the cyanobacteria colony.

This system is programmed to maximize the gathering of movement data. This results in a cycle of care and stress upon the cyanobacteria, forcing it to be in constant motion.
